Ethereal marks a turning point in the series Born of Our Hands.
This digital version feels stripped down, like a held breath before motion.
Recreating it in digital form was a way to amplify its clarity.
From its initial sketch, I let a gentler calm emerge —
a gesture of refinement, revealing only what was already there,
somewhere between tension and surrender.

Artist’s Note
When something takes from us.
Not all at once, but through erosion.
Each day, a little less color.
A little less breath.
It took time to see that this emptiness
was never mine.
Creating Ethereal was a way to take shape again.
To reclaim voice.
Where one believes they disappear, a part always remains,
waiting to be found.
And when it returns, it knows.
Irreversibly stronger.
