This Way

Despite her fears, this path was shaping a new exhilaration within her, drawn by the movement that was distancing her from the dull colors of stagnation.

There are roads that open only through faith in their existence.
They seem to promise nothing, except the discomfort of learning.
I remember the vertigo.
That sense of being alone, moving through an unnamed place.
And yet, something in me already knew that staying
was a slow extinction disguised as safety.
To break away from what hurts.
To give oneself permission to exist elsewhere.
To create the space where air returns.
To come back to oneself, to what one truly wants, to self.
And to feel the rising joy of taking one’s life back in hand.
