Insomnia
Description of the Work
Despite her exhaustion, rest remained out of reach.
In the thick darkness, her hoot was her only guide —
the sole keeper of the path toward a saving light.
Artist’s Note
There are nights too alive for sleep.
The body still, the mind in motion.
Thoughts align, fade, return,
as if everything wanted to exist at once.
The owl watches, patient.
It knows this territory where silence lulls nothing,
where thinking becomes an act in itself.
Insomnia was born from a calm wakefulness, without visible movement —
that moment when the mind keeps building while the body, quietly, waits its turn.
Artwork Description
Insomnia delves into the tension between restless wakefulness and hopeful light. The owl, majestic and mysterious, serves as a nocturnal guide amidst abstract geometric shapes and vibrant colors.
